Happy Easter!

Happy Easter family and friends!!

We are spending the weekend with my family. Last night we all went to the movies to see Olympus Has Fallen. It was the best movie I've seen in a while, super badass!! Then we came home and dyed Easter eggs. We've been dying eggs since I can remember.

This is a pretty special holiday for us as it's our first majorly celebrated holiday as a married couple!! Of course I had to make an egg for the occasion :)

We are looking forward to spending the day with my family and grandparents!

Exciting Couple of Mail Days!

I just love a good mail week!!!

We ordered a BUNCH of wedding photo things and they ALL arrived this week!! (insert squeal)

Our thank you cards came in (thank you Vistaprint.com!) ANNNNNDDD they are all done once my handsome husband puts his John Hancock on them :) I don't want to toot my own horn but we did just get them yesterday (TOOT TOOT!!).

We also got a few goodies for our parents. Belated "thank you for being our parents" gifts for the wedding. They are awesome but we can't share because we haven't distributed the gifts yet! I think they will like them :)

Passports were also delivered this week! Now we can officially go on our Alaskan Honeymoon in May. We are stoked to go and check this trip off the bucket list!

I was very excited to get printed pictures too!! We are going to need to go shopping for frames for the photo collage that I have planned for our living room and bedroom. Our pictures are so beautiful (Thanks again Bethany and Levi!!) and I can't wait to fill our walls with them so I can see them every day. What a great reminder of the gorgeous day and our commitment to one another :)

My most favorite thing that came this week: OUR WEDDING PHOTO BOOK! It is FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!!! I could not be more in love with a book filled of pictures! I was so excited to sit down and put it together (highly recommend mypublisher.com for your photo book projects!). I spent too many hours working to get it just right. It captures the sequence of the day so perfectly and I will be so happy and proud to show it off to everybody and anybody who wants to see it :) I will admit that it had me all teary-eyed!

One last (but not least) package that we received this week was *drum roll please* Jesse's CAP AND GOWN! That's right people, because you know, he'll be a GRADUATE in May :) :) Can you tell I'm a proud wife?! I think I am more excited about his graduation than my own. He has worked so hard and overcome the greatest of obstacles. It will be quite the day!! Side note: I'm also excited because he's letting me make his graduation announcements :) They are just lacking a picture of the debonair graduate and then off to the printers they'll go!

In summary, there are few things greater in life than a good mail week ;) Count the smiley faces if you don't believe me!

What Kind of Wife Would I Be If I Didn't Brag on My Husband?!

He's at it again! The man is such a sweetheart :)

Jesse told me that he ordered me a little surprise and it came yesterday! It was a sort of just because, happy one month-iversary gift.

He ordered us a mouse pad with a wedding photo on it :) He's so good at making sweet little gestures that make my heart fill with even more love for him!!

Post Wedding Chop!

I decided it was time for a hair change! I have had the same general hair for years and years. It's always just been different lengths. For the longest time, it's been REALLLY long. Now, it's SHORT!

If I had to guess, I probably lost a good 6-7 inches! Half of my hair was on the floor. It's a very similar cut but the length is definitely different! Even though it's a bit shocking, I'm liking it so far :)

One Month-iversary!

A month of marriage already?! I cannot believe how fast time has flown by!!

Wish we could relive the day over and over again :)

Tonight we're going out to Mamacitas to celebrate!

Wedding Pictures Are In

First let me start by saying a big big thank you to: Bethany and Levi of Two Times Photography (for being an awesome picture taking duo!) and Texas Old Town (for providing us with the venue of our dreams and the beautiful backdrop for our wedding!)

Now onto the AWESOMENESS that is our wedding photos!! There are so many beautiful shots that capture every emotion of the day. It will be hard to narrow it down! We've had the photos less than 24 hours and I've done nothing but look at them over and over again. It was the most perfect day and these pictures will last us a lifetime and serve to remind us of the day we became a family :)

Sprucing Up Our Home

We had a productive weekend! Jesse is home for Spring Break so we've been trying to check things off our to-do list.

Saturday we went and spent way too much time at the post office getting our passport info submitted. Two and a half hours later we had officially applied for our passports for our cruise in May!

We're also awaiting the arrival of our new driver's licenses :)

This weekend my sweet husband also hung some things around the house. We found these cute prints online, made them our own with photoshop and had them printed. Now they're hanging in our dining room :)

He also hung up our "command central!" Now we can keep up with everything more easily.

We also went SHOPPING! Bed Bath and Beyond hosted a registry party this weekend. They opened the store after hours and let couples come shop for items they didn't receive off their registry. All of it was 20% off too!! We got a lot of things we needed and Jesse got his Ninja :) We have decided to keep the registries for a while and use them as gift ideas for birthdays and such.

Tonight should be fun too! We're hosting the first official family dinner at our place. Mom, Dad, and Clay are coming over for spaghetti and cheesy garlic bread!

Newlywed Bliss!

Being Newlyweds is AWESOME!! My love for Jesse has grown leaps and bounds in the last week (more than usual). It's a whole new, exciting, happy as can be love! It's so neat the way love changes and multiplies with big life events.

What have we been up to? Well sadly, Jesse had to go back to school so it's long distance again as usual. But he's home on the weekends! We had so much fun cooking and lounging and shopping for our new home last weekend. We tried out some wedding gifts (deep fryer!) and made meals together. It was nice to actually be living together in our new home. And in 67 days he'll be home for good :) Next week he has Spring Break too so that means we get a whole week together!

It's a little strange living by myself during the week but I'm trying to get used to it. I think I'll need to start crafting or scrapbooking again to fill my time :)

Lots of name changes happening too! I'm officially KRH with the SS office and DMV. I've tried to start changing my name with other companies, bills, organizations, etc too. Men have it very easy!! There are so many things to change. We're trying to get our addresses changed everywhere too.

Married life is awesome thus far and we can't wait to see what the future holds!!

I'm OFFICIALLY a Hanrahan!

Woooohooooo! I went to the Social Security office last Tuesday to change my name. Saturday, I got my new card!! I am now legally K. R. Hanrahan :)

Now to just change it everywhere else!
