Carrie Underwood Concert

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!

Carrie Underwood is one heck of an awesome singer! We had so much fun last night (and have video with me singing my fool head off to prove it!).

Hunter Hayes opened the show and I was pleasantly surprised. He put on a pretty decent opening act!

Of course we were thrilled when it was finally time for Carrie to come out and perform! Her first dress was drop dead gorgeous and her legs have got to be THE best pair on the planet! Probably from dancing around in such high heels at every show. The music started and the stage started to rise... a house was projected onto it and there she was, coming through the door of said house!

At one point in the show a square of the stage was lifted and she sang on the platform flying high above the crowd!

I am definitely concert people! I just love the music and the show and the lyrics!! The whole atmosphere is just awesome :)

I've got my sights set on a Bruno Mars (*swoon*) concert in August but it's on a Wednesday so we'll have to see what work schedules are like! Oh what I wouldn't give to hear that man sing and play the piano live :)

2 Months of Wedded Bliss

Hard to believe we've been married for two months already! Time flies when you're in love :)

I had to come share another tale from the Adventures of My Wonderful Husband.

Since yesterday was our 2 month-iversary and we were apart, I just chalked the day up to another where acknowledgement through calls and texts would suffice. Little did I know my amazing husband had other plans.

I was napping on the couch when I heard a knock on the door (thanks for startling me dear lol). I half asleep stumbled to the door, not expecting anyone and thinking it was maybe maintenance. I will admit, looking through the peephole it took a minute for it to register who was on the other side of the door. Blame it on being suddenly awoken or because I wasn't expecting company.

Low and behold my sweet sweet husband had come to surprise me all the way from Kerrville. ANNNNND he brought a present :) Standing there in front of our door was Jesse with a pretty little calla lily plant in hand.

We went to dinner and he stayed the night even though that meant waking up extra early to commute back to school. It is these little, unexpected surprises that keep me going when we're apart!

I tell you what people, I have been so blessed! This man is beyond amazing and I am so incredibly thankful for him every day.

I am a hopeless romantic and just wish everyone could find what we have. I hate to see people who are lonely or in an unhealthy relationship because they think there isn't better out there. Everyone deserves to be loved unconditionally and I am so lucky to have that. What a wonderful,
more peaceful world it would be if there was more of this kind of love in it!

GO OUT AND FIND YOUR PERFECT MATE PEOPLE, THEY'RE OUT THERE!

Life Happenings

My dad FINALLY booked their trip to Montana :) I'm so glad that we could help make his dreams come true!! He has wanted to go for as long as I can remember and now he gets to in August. He's been talking about white water rafting and a red bus tour through Glacier National Park.

Also, graduation is 20 days away!! That's right, my husband will be a college graduate and HOME for good in 20 days :) I have a pretty yellow dress as of this weekend and Jesse has himself a nice maroon tie!

May will be a busy but awesome month for these Hanrahans and we can't wait!!

We got some Le Creuest pots this weekend too! They are purple and fabulous :)

Some raccoons have been trying to get our love plant from the wedding! We saw the little bugger in the yard yesterday. Two nights in a row they dug our little plant out of its pot. We've had to resort to putting it out in the day and bringing it in at night. We're hoping it survives the raccoon trauma!!

And there's your update for now :)

OMG! OMG! OMG!

WE'RE GOING TO SEE
CARRIE UNDERWOOD!!!

I could not be more EXCITED! I have known she was coming to town for a while now but didn't think we would get to go for various reasons. Well, yesterday, some things fell into place and WE BOUGHT TICKETS!!! Jesse is so awesome! It's on a Thursday night but he said he'd drive up and then go back to school early the next morning. He's working overtime to win Husband of the Year :)

This concert is on my bucket list and I'm stoked to be crossing things off the list with my hubby by my side!

My Husband is a Fun Guy

We had so much fun this weekend!

Saturday Jesse hung some wedding pictures around the apartment for me :) They are numerous but I love it!

Later in the afternoon, we went to Painting with a Twist and channeled our inner Picassos! I was so glad Jesse said he would go and of course it didn't hurt that we painted turtles.

We also went to a coworker's graduation party Saturday night. It was a lot of fun and it was nice to get out of the apartment.

Sunday we woke up early and Jesse got all spruced up and we took some graduation pictures! It's getting so close :) We came home and ordered some announcements and I can't wait to send them out. I'm so proud of him I could burst!
