Sprucing Up Our Home

We had a productive weekend! Jesse is home for Spring Break so we've been trying to check things off our to-do list.

Saturday we went and spent way too much time at the post office getting our passport info submitted. Two and a half hours later we had officially applied for our passports for our cruise in May!

We're also awaiting the arrival of our new driver's licenses :)

This weekend my sweet husband also hung some things around the house. We found these cute prints online, made them our own with photoshop and had them printed. Now they're hanging in our dining room :)

He also hung up our "command central!" Now we can keep up with everything more easily.

We also went SHOPPING! Bed Bath and Beyond hosted a registry party this weekend. They opened the store after hours and let couples come shop for items they didn't receive off their registry. All of it was 20% off too!! We got a lot of things we needed and Jesse got his Ninja :) We have decided to keep the registries for a while and use them as gift ideas for birthdays and such.

Tonight should be fun too! We're hosting the first official family dinner at our place. Mom, Dad, and Clay are coming over for spaghetti and cheesy garlic bread!

Newlywed Bliss!

Being Newlyweds is AWESOME!! My love for Jesse has grown leaps and bounds in the last week (more than usual). It's a whole new, exciting, happy as can be love! It's so neat the way love changes and multiplies with big life events.

What have we been up to? Well sadly, Jesse had to go back to school so it's long distance again as usual. But he's home on the weekends! We had so much fun cooking and lounging and shopping for our new home last weekend. We tried out some wedding gifts (deep fryer!) and made meals together. It was nice to actually be living together in our new home. And in 67 days he'll be home for good :) Next week he has Spring Break too so that means we get a whole week together!

It's a little strange living by myself during the week but I'm trying to get used to it. I think I'll need to start crafting or scrapbooking again to fill my time :)

Lots of name changes happening too! I'm officially KRH with the SS office and DMV. I've tried to start changing my name with other companies, bills, organizations, etc too. Men have it very easy!! There are so many things to change. We're trying to get our addresses changed everywhere too.

Married life is awesome thus far and we can't wait to see what the future holds!!

I'm OFFICIALLY a Hanrahan!

Woooohooooo! I went to the Social Security office last Tuesday to change my name. Saturday, I got my new card!! I am now legally K. R. Hanrahan :)

Now to just change it everywhere else!

WE'RE MARRIED!!!

Holy cow! We are FINALLY married!!!! We could not be more excited :)

We could not have imagined a more perfect wedding day! We were both calm as cucumbers until it was GO time. The nerves set in for me as I was walking outside. We were ahead of schedule all day so I was ready to start at 4:30pm. The next 30 min were the longest of my life.

We were so lucky to have so much help from our friends and family. We could not have done it without them. Immediate family, extended family, friends (HUGE GINORMOUS shout out to Kayleigh, who without, our wedding day would not have run so smoothly!), they all pitched in to help.

I was so excited when I finally got to see my groom! He looked handsome as ever :) I had been waiting all day to see him and he didn't disappoint. We both stumbled nervously through our vows (ok ok ok, I cried through mine!) but they were beautiful.

The reception was a blast! Lots of food, dancing, and laughs! We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people who took the time to come celebrate our new beginning together. 

Things I loved most:
1. My dad was there. I got my father-daughter dance.
2. Our photographer (Two Times Photography).
3. Our flowers, they were gorgeous!
4. The venue, it was perfect for our rustic wedding.
5. The help we got from everyone.
6. Sharing every second with my HUSBAND!!!

Now that we're married, we're looking forward to Jesse's graduation (YAY!) and our Alaskan honeymoon in May.

P.S. It is unbelievable the feeling I get when I see the ring on Jesse's finger and when I hear him call me his wife. My heart couldn't be more full!

One More Sleep Until We're Mr & Mrs

Can you believe it?! Tomorrow we will be married! We have been waiting for so long and it's finally our time :)

The wedding festivities have already begun! Jesse's family is in town and we had fun catching up yesterday. Today we are setting up the hall, having a rehearsal, and having a rehearsal dinner. Should be a fun day with others coming into town as well!

Tonight, I'll be going to a hotel with my girls and it'll be the last time I see Jesse until I'm walking down the aisle with my dad. His friends will be in town so I know he'll love seeing them.

We are just so excited to FINALLY become husband and wife!!
